All our sealskins are Inuit branded and sustainable. This means that all our sealskins come from seals caught by Greenlandic sealers. When sealskin is Inuit branded, it also means that the entire seal is used. The captives go out primarily to catch food for their families, as the seal meat is a delicacy and an important source of nutrition. The seal's entrails are given to the dogs.

The Greenlandic seal hunt has always taken place with respect for nature, and the seal population in Greenland has never been threatened. The skins are categorized as NON CITES products, i.e. skins from non-endangered animals.

Facts:

Our sealskin is processed by Great Greenland in Greenland, where all the skins also come from. All our sealskins are Inuit branded. This means that all our sealskins come from seals that have lived a free life in Greenland's beautiful nature, caught by Greenlandic sealers who use the whole seal.

The sealskins may have small scratches and scars from, for example, shrimp bites. This is not a mistake, but a sign that the seal has lived a free and good life in the sea.

Application:

Seal skin has many uses, both within clothing and accessories.

You can sew in sealskin on a fur machine or by hand. Some ordinary sewing machines can also easily sew sealskin.

Advantage:

In addition to being incredibly beautiful, sealskin is also warm, windproof and durable.

If you get some dirt on your sealskin product, you can wipe it off with a damp cloth. If the hairs on the skin have subsequently become frizzy, you can style the damp hairs with a comb. Then allow the sealskin product to air dry.
