Step 1

Cut the felt to fit the size of your computer. Add an additional two centimeters on each side for stitching.

Step 2

Use your space maker to mark out, where your stitching holes will be punctured. Make the markings in one of the ends of the leather strap.

Step 3

Cut the other end of the strap into the length, you desire. You can cut off the corners of the strap as a nice detail.

Step 4

Use the awl to make stitching holes.

Step 5

Tie a knot in one end and start stitching from the back.

Step 6

Stitch all the way around. Make sure that there is thread between all the stitching holes - you will have to stick the needle through all the holes twice for this to happen.

Step 7

Finish your stitching by tying a knot on the back.

Place your computer into the sleeve to measure out, where the Sam Browne button will be placed.

Step 9

Puncture a hole in the felt for the Sam Browne button and screw in the button.

Step 10

Mark out where on your leather, the Sam Browne button will come through from the back.

Step 11

Use your leather punch to punch a hole in the leather.

Step 12

Glue a small piece of leather on the back to ensure that the Sam Browne button doesn't scratch your computer.

Step 13

Sew together the sides inside-out by using a sewing machine.
